How We Scored Your Digital Readiness

Your Digital Readiness Score is calculated to give you (and your family) a clear, honest snapshot of how well-prepared you are if you can no longer manage your digital world due to illness, incapacity, or death.

Here’s how the score works:

• Each main question answered “Yes” earns 7 points (except the password book question).
• If you answered “Yes” to “Are your passwords written down in a book, on a piece of paper, or in a note/document on your computer?”, 10 points are subtracted due to increased risk.
• Age bracket adjustments:
  • Under 30: 0 points subtracted
  • 30–44: 1 point subtracted
  • 45–54: 2 points subtracted
  • 55–64: 3 points subtracted
  • 65–74: 5 points subtracted
  • 75+: 7 points subtracted
• If you answer “N/A” to a question, it is not counted for or against your score.
• The maximum possible score is 133. Your result is then converted to a number out of 100, rounded to the nearest whole number.
• Negative results are not possible. If deductions would bring your score below zero, your score is shown as zero.

Risk Rankings:
Critical: Score under 50
High: 50–69
Moderate: 70–89
Low: 90 or above

Why is age included?
Digital planning is increasingly important as we get older—especially to prevent digital exclusion, avoid scams, and ensure family members have the guidance and access they need in a crisis. That’s why small, progressive deductions apply for higher age brackets.

Our goal: This score is not a judgment—it’s a supportive tool to help you protect your digital legacy, reduce stress for loved ones, and make sure nothing important is lost or left behind.
